I’ve always been a junkie for beauty products, buying a little more than what I need. I swear used to buy all of CVS’ beauty products! I have been working on that over the years, cutting back (a lot), and recently, my focus has been on switching to higher-quality, non-toxic brands.

In the past 10 years, I’ve gradually transitioned to “Clean” beauty, switching up all my products for products that are free of endocrine disrupting chemicals (chemicals that have been researched to affect our hormonal system and damage our health). Some of these chemicals we want to avoid include: parabens, BPA, phthalates, sulfates, fragrance, pesticides, and so much more.

Also, I’ve tried to reduce my purchases/consumption of plastic, and simultaneously support small brands, especially from female-led companies.

Since I’ve made the change, I’ve noticed my skin has improved a lot (of course my diet and overall lifestyle help, too), and I love knowing that I’m putting only good quality products on my body (while supporting the environment and other entrepreneurs that are focused on QUALITY products).

Here’s a peek inside my beauty cabinet (and shower) with the products I’m currently using – most of which are already repeats for me. They’re all highly ranked as “safe, clean” products (I use EWG for researching my products) that are also pregnancy and nursing friendly.

Note: I love shopping at THE DETOX MARKET and within Sephora, I look only for “clean by sephora” products. Or I verify with EWG and buy on Amazon. Just beware with marketing claims that mean nothing “natural, organic…” and instead read ingredient labels and look for products that are certified free of parabens/sulfates/phthalates/fragrance etc.

My current beauty products:

Face moisturizers & oils: True Botanicals pure radiance oil, One Love Vitamin C, Alpyn Beauty plant genius melt moisturizer

Eye cream: 100% pure caffeine eye cream

Face cleansers: One Love Vitamin B, Alpyn Beauty plant genius face wash, Odacite black mint cleanser

Face toners: Josh Rosebrook daily acid toner, Nahoa organic agua de rosas tónico facial, HOMEMADE toner with rose water (3/4 bottle), apple cider vinegar (just under ¼ bottle), 3 drops clary sage EO and 2 drops tea trea EO (I use doTerra essential oils)

Sun block: EltaMD, Suntegrity and Supergoop! (in my makeup bag)

Deodorant: NATIVE and Roll-on Purity (not featured in image)

Body oils: Herbivore coco rose body oil, ANESE booty oil, OSEA body oil

Toothpaste: homemade toothpaste and Hello toothpaste (only plastic item!)
